Murder Is the Best Solution: Played for laughs.Examples include using Sui's water magic to fill a bath or having Fel further inspect an unknown item or target with his higher Appraisal skill, if Mukohda's own Appraisal doesn't suffice. Mundane Utility: One way or another, Mukohda will always come up with some totally mundane use for his party's awesome skills and powers. This gets subverted when Demiurge extends Mukohda's lifespan which the familiars take with glee as this means they'll get to enjoy his company and cooking for a long time to come.įel: There would be no loss in serving a human for that long.ĭora: Yeah, exactly! To those with lifespans as long as ours, something like this actually livens things up! Mayfly–December Friendship: As Dora points out, part of the reason the monsters are so quick to form a contract of servitude with Mukohda just for food is that in the big picture, a few decades isn't all that much of their life to give up for a benefit as good as great food every day in that time.Fel and Dora are also prone to tooting their own horns when they easily finish off some powerful monsters and demand praise from Mukohda. The two frequently demand more food from Mukohda and can be petulant with him. Sui, who is literally days old, is significantly more mature and polite than Fel and Dora, who are a thousand and a hundred years old respectively. Immortal Immaturity: Played for laughs. ![]() While Mukohda's familiars are eager to look for any chance to fight strong opponents, they mostly do this as either an extension of natural hunting instincts, Mukohda explicitly telling Fel that if he wants meat he will have to get it himself, or as a way to stay active. ![]() They are all happy with simply exploring the world and enjoying the sights along the way. Humble Goal: No one in the party has any kind of grandiose goal or ambition they wish to realize.Dora is the thief, with the Fragile Speedster build to match.Instead, Sui typically hangs back and snipes its enemies with long-range skills and spells. Sui is the mage, as despite having a pretty balanced stat spread, its gelatinous body makes physical attacks a terrible idea.Fel and Gon are the fighters, as they have the highest stats in the entire party and are usually the first to physically engage an enemy.Fighter, Mage, Thief: While Mukohda's familiars don't fit as neatly as most other fantasy story casts, the familiars do certainly have a distinct style of combat to each of them.Family of Choice: What the party eventually becomes.Mukohda eventually joins them once he's given the 'Perfect Defense' skill in volume 3. Eventually, Sui and Dora joined Fel, leading Mukohda to call the three of them the Invincible Trio for their ability to easily take down a red dragon, who are seen as country destroying threats. ![]() ![]() Comically Invincible Hero: Initially this had only applied to Fel, who couldn't even consider A-ranked monsters to be light exercise.Brilliant, but Lazy: They could easily take down countries if they wanted to, and Fel often mentions doing it if anyone comes after them.In particular, Fel and Dora seem to fight in order to stay active, while Sui fights in order to better understand its new, rapidly expanding abilities. Although it's played a little differently than usual, as while the familiars do enjoy the thrill of battle, they also do it out of practicality as they're both stronger and faster than Mukohda, and if he was occupied with hunting, he wouldn't have time to cook for them. Blood Knight: Every one of Mukohda's familiars qualifies as one.Fel alone (whom Mukohda met because Fel smelled some of his cooking and demanded a good piece of it) can go through several kilos of meat and still be hungry, especially after a particularly spirited hunting trip. Big Eater: Another trait that unites Mukohda's familiars besides their thirst for battle is their genuinely massive appetite.
